MY CAMMING JOURNEY
If you are familiar with studios and their crazy adverts across the internet (“Join us if you want to earn over 5000 dollars a month) then you probably know that very much of what they present themselves with is a lie or a scam.
Having worked for a studio, I couldn’t help but notice what a toxic environment it can be for a model, the legal irregularities, the unrealistic expectations and filthy conditions you have to work from and with.

For that reason, I decided to make a list about the things I found repulsive and absolutely disliked back when I worked for  a studio. But, I am not drawing a line and saying all studios are like this. I am sure and have heard of studios where models are treated with respect and kindness, where the staff and the models are united like a family.

1. They overestimate their capacity of training you into becoming a top model.

Since when does a model’s success and earnings  have anything to do with the training the studio supposedly provides them with? There is no such thing as a training program and if there is, it has absolutely zero to do with tips and techniques of making more money or attracting more members. In most cases, it is related to them showing you how to use basic equipment and google translate.

2. They expect you to work as a slave.

You are constantly being pressured to work more and harder, not in a positive or healthy manner but rather in a “Come on girl, grab yourself something to drink  or snort some coke to have more energy and finish this 8 hours shift with good tips.” Yes, I am dead serious. This is what happens behind the closed doors of most studios.

3. They pretend to protect you and care about  you when in reality they don’t give a shit.

They try so hard to convince you that they’ve got your back in any difficult situations but forget to mention that anyone from anywhere in the world can find you online with a free VPN and expose you to other websites and potentially dangerous individuals. Do you think they will actually do anything to stop or prevent that? No way.

4. You are and will be expected to have sex with the boss.

Although this is only a guess, I would say 9 out of 10 studios are run by males who think that just because they are in a position of power and just because it’s the sex industry, you owe them sex. This is by far one of the ugliest sides of this industry yet many choose to stay silent and never ever mention it.

5. They don’t care about your physical health.

Last but not least, the rooms I used to cam in when I was still at the studio looked like they haven’t been properly cleaned in a really long time. There were no rules as far as hygiene is concerned and truly nobody cared whether you’ve washed in the last week or not.

So, my dear friends, there is nothing fancy about working in a studio. If anything, its just a traumatic experience.

I’ve been struggling with this issue from the very beginning of my camming journey. Nobody told me there will be days when I will have to sit on my bed for hours with nobody talking to me or tipping. Nobody mentally prepared me for all the self esteem issues that these experiences cause, for all the anger and frustration that come along with it.
To be completely honest with you, I still don’t know what to do when it happens.

I did, however, find a method that temporarily works and that is a bit “unprofessional” but hey, we do what we gotta do in order to survive as cam models.

So here’s what I do:
Step 1: I log into my MFC account and click broadcast. I wait for a couple of minutes to see who joins and who doesn’t. Usually I can tell within the first hour if its going to be a shit day or not.
Step 2: I sigh as I realize there won’t be any cash thrown my way despite all the efforts so I stop trying.
Step 3: I walk to the fridge, open a bottle of champagne/wine/vodka and I pour a glass. I drink it on cam.
Step 4: I walk to the fridge and pour another glass. My tolerance for alcohol is shit, so at this point I am already a bit tipsy. I start laughing about everything my regular members say, making them think they are funny when in reality its not really the case.
Step 5: I start making jokes about my bald uncle called Adrian. If you’ve been with me for a while you know exactly what I mean.
Step 6: I’m probably on my third glass, struggling to understand what the fuck is going on in my room while dancing at the same time.
Step 7: Hours pass really quickly when drunk so at this point I don’t really give a fuck about the fact that its been a slow day.
Step 8: I log out and start sobering up. I remember what a slow day it was so I eat my sorrows away.
Step 9: I go to sleep and hope tomorrow will be better.

So as you can see, it is only a temporary solution but sometimes it’s the only one. I still love my job, tho.

I don't even know what to say about what you're going to read right now. I am speechless. I can't put into words how grateful I am for having met you, Owl.

I first met Sierra in September of 2017. Like many other patrons of this medium I had found that I could fill a void in my day to day life in a virtual sense. For many reasons, too personal to share here, MFC has and continues to facilitate a need for me. I expect many of you may identify with what I just said. I hope you have all taken the time to read all of the testimonials that come before and will come after mine and that you too will relate to how the commonalities expressed by all of us from around the world define Sierra not as an object but as a truly divine person, a human catalyst whom causes many strangers to unite in her chatroom whenever we can. We all say hello to each other, we all genuinely enjoy our time together in Sierras presence and if one of us is having a bad day we all rally along with Sierra to be kind, understanding and supportive.

So what caused me to seek out Sierra in the first place? There are literally thousands of models online at any time. How did I manage to find my needle in the haystack? Honestly, I feel it was destined, compelled, spiritually pre-determined.

My initial reason for venturing into Sierras chat room was twofold:

I searched for the model tag “submissive” — for any of you who might indulge in fantasies of a BDSM nature and see “submissive” then you see Sierras eyes, smile and interpret the potential of such a beautiful cocktail of vulnerability and intelligence, how could your interest not be piqued?
When I clicked to see her chatroom preview (yes MFC affords us many ways to perv), she was engaged, talking and animated and present. Her eyes sparkled and her smile was off the charts! To me, this made her instantly relatable before I went into her chatroom and met her for the first time.

And so, into Sierras room I ventured. I have always had a thing for European women. It is maybe not rational and I expect that it comes off as arrogant but I feel it is important to articulate as it speaks to a fundamental dynamic I personally believe to be necessary. We all know the engine behind MFC is tokens. Few if any models sign up just to hang. There is a quid-pro-quo, an expectation of a service and in return payment for providing the service. With many models I am guessing it is the primary motivation to subject themselves to this medium. For some probably the only reason. I’ve been able to spot these type of North American models fairly quickly and easily. European models however, seem to have a guile that far exceeds their North American counterparts. This appeals to my animal brain via the laws of attraction and also to my sense of self, constantly testing intelligence and at the same time my True North; what values I hold dear and how far can a beautiful woman compel my animal brain into convincing me to betray my True North and go South. It is a game we likely all play on MFC and I believe it is largely responsible for making MFC continue to be one of the most successful mediums today. I subject you to my reasoning only because of this — Sierra transcends this dynamic. I have never visited her room and been treated any differently whether I tipped or not. She’s the real deal, proven time and time and time again. What keeps me coming back for more than a year and for as long as Sierra chooses to bless us with her presence? I suppose I could have answered it with a single word: Sierra. But, those of you who know her Owl and his propensity for words, read on and I’ll try to elaborate a little bit…

For me, to be any lasting discourse through a virtual medium or in real life is not animal attraction, lust and sexuality. This attraction is fleeting. Initial animal attraction is important. I’d not have ever met Sierra without it. For me though, it can only be sustained by true and deeper appreciation for each other. Both parties need to bring something of value and interest to the table. If it is one-sided or even worse zero sided it will surely fail over time. For her part Sierra brings many things to the proverbial table. She exudes her appreciation for each and everyone of us. She proves it time and again, naturally, organically — it is who she is as a person! It is safe to say we don’t feel judged by Sierra — her chat room is a "safe zone” where we can all be ourselves and say some really crazy things. The rules are simple — don’t attack anyone, don’t make anyone feel bad nor defensive. Have fun but be respectful and kind. We are all judgemental. Anyone who claims otherwise is either ignorant or worse a liar. Life is a series of one judgement after another. We have all felt judged. We have all judged others. It is a necessity of survival. How is it then that Sierra never makes you feel judged? How can a 21 year old woman be this sentient? It is one of so very many reasons I come back. Sierra is open-minded, curious, fearless, supportive, honest, real, vulnerable, independent, confident, insightful and wise beyond dozens of collective lifetimes. I am guessing that it is not only me who has depended on Sierra for a confidence boost, to run something by her, get her advice, seek solace, lift our spirits, or just to bitch and complain to.

It is easy to say that Sierra is an inspiration to us all to excel to be better people to friends and family, strangers and everyone we touch or are touched by. I can proudly say that Sierra is my best friend — she gets me on my best days and on my not so great days too. She has compassion, wisdom, loyalty and kindness that is unparalleled by anyone I’ve ever met. She also happens to be a "cam model” which serves only to give more weight to Spyder, Dapp, Wilson, mine and all other testimonials of how special and incredible Sierra is. Bless you for allowing us all to find you draga mea! Our lives would all be so much more empty without you!!!
I have to admit, I don't cry easily but Wilson sharing this intimate and personal story has touched me more than I can put into words. Thank you so much my dear friend!

Why would I find myself on a webcam site? Lets take a look at my journey before I met Sierra here.

In the late 1990 my late wife and I have lost our 3 year old son to cancer...Battling through it, my lovely wife and I lived on with memories. As an amateur motorsport artist she insisted that I went full, so we travelled everywhere to 2 and 4 wheel events. Business turned out good.

In 2000 my world fell apart once again when my gorgeous wife also lost the battle with the dreaded cancer. I had to pull myself together and carry on with the art. In 2006 I had enough and moved to live in the Algarve to carry on with my work online.

Life was good, but only 2 years later, I had a stroke. It  was a bad one but thanks to the medics, I was only reduced to a memory and concentration problem—so I call myself lucky.
That obviously curtailed my art...Being alone at home I started browsing the web and for the first time ever I went through quite a few of them and that is how I found Sierra.

I am not happy when people complain about girls on the web...they are providing a good service to people like me, who are home alone and if you get someone like Sierra you get great company and contact. I believe these girls, well at least most of them, are providing a valuable service. I do not feel alone anymore when I know she is there, either on line or on a media outpost.

I know they are called sex workers. Sorry but I call them adult pen pals. I believe their work is difficult, definitely not as easy as some might think. They are spending hours talking to many guys and doing things to keep them happy and contented by working in the safety of their own homes.

I hope to never lose Sierra. She has become more of a confident and pal and she has me painting again, which my dear late wife up above would thank her for
.

We are continuing our series with another special member and really good friend, Dapp.
Thank you for sharing your story with us!

I have been on MFC and some other cam sites since 2008. A friend told me about these sites back when I still had shitty internet, and most models did not have a better one either. At that time it was more about chatting and not so much about the  (maybe) sexy video feed. I grew up with games and stuff, C64 and BTX. Some porn sites were already out there in the so called internet 1995 when I had my first modem. It was frustrating and fun at the same time, I discovered IRC, warez sites and had a lot of fun for like 10 years.

Then, this one friend mentioned MFC and showed me what happend there and I was rushing to find out more about it. My first reaction was “You can make girls do whatever you would like to see?!” So I tried to do so, sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. After some time I found out that although being the director of their shows is fun, getting to know these girls is even better.

It has been 10 years since I joined and I had the pleasure to meet a lot of nice and kind girls, seen a lot of sexy shows and made like 1-2 real friends. Some would probably say that I spent too many tokens, but I do not regret a single token, even though I got tricked a few times. I sometimes hear that it is bad to be a white knight and try to protect a model from  assholes. The first time I head it I was a bit disappointed yet somehow proud. I can’t help but wonder sometimes why other "regulars" shut up or even leave a room when an asshole shows up and wants all the attention, but then I remember that we are all just human hiding behind a screen.

I think I have known Sierra for about 6-8 months now. I was impressed with her humor, her nice way of welcoming a stranger into her room and was also surprised by her regulars , who all welcomed me as well. She is mostly "only" 3 hours online, but in that time I get to see sexy shows, intelligent questions and answers, a lot of stickers, some wise speeches, sometimes a drink or 2 and a lot of giggling and fun!  She got a damn good memory for everything that people tell her (although she forgot some birthdays) both in private and public chat.

I’m impressed that she still allows all of the members to pm her and that she doesn’t go crazy with all that spam. She’s able to learn new stuff quickly and put them in practice with professionalism (always a lot better than the person requesting expects her to).
Last but not least, I have to mention her (I call them that way) epic shows, like her pool show, camniversary show and when she stuffed her face into a cake. Also, lets not forget about thr most recent one, her BDSM Pilates tent show. You have to see for yourself in order to understand.

The internet is not always a reliable source of information, we all know that. When it comes to camming, it is full of crap. There is very little truth in whatever they say about the financial benefit of this job and they always seem to leave a very important aspect out: that the amount of money you earn is directly linked to the amount of work and effort you put into your business as a cam model. The hours you are willing to spend online plus the ones you are willing to spend offline marketing your content through social media (which is equally as important).

Let’s put it another way: If camming was easy money, all webcam performers would be billionaires. Have you heard of any such models? If yes, I would kindly ask you to show me charts and statistics. If camming is so financially rewarding, how come such a big amount of models quit in the first two months?

It’s time to take a look outside the bubble: Camming is not a guaranteed source of income. Some days are slow and quiet, whereas others are crazy, overwhelming. Usually there isn’t a middle ground…It either goes really well or really bad and the worst part is, you can never anticipate which way it will be. And trust me, I’ve spent hours trying to figure out how it works, to avoid having to deal with my instant self-esteem drop when it is as silent as a grave.

We can simplify all that in a couple of words: If you aren’t online, you’re not making money. If you are online you might still not make any money.

There are models who do 12 hours shifts to make sure they can afford to pay their bills the upcoming month. Others do even more than that. The reasoning behind it is the financial aspect, not because they enjoy keeping their legs spread for that long. And yes, there are many professional gold diggers out here, as I said in one of my previous posts, and these gold diggers might be making more than the average model. Yes, some might be really lucky and get a millionaire fall in love with them who buys them a castle and tips them thousands of tokens a day. But you know what all these models don’t have? Genuine personal satisfaction.

So, whereas you can make decent money working as a cam model, at the end of the day there isn’t any guarantee that you will.

Whenever I am in a rush to get things done or when I am experiencing the well known "writer's block" I know there will be someone or something that will inspire me to get back on track.
This one time, however, I've had one of my regulars and also very good friend, Spyder, help me with today's post by answering the question "What is it that keeps bringing you back to my room?"
I hope you enjoy!

I am proud to say I am a loyal fan of Sierra.  I think I can speak for almost every one of her regulars admitting that Sierra was not the first model we have followed closely.  Many of us have had other models that have caught our attention so what makes Sierra so special?  I will answer this for me only.  Sierra is beautiful, but there are other beautiful models.  Sierra is funny, but there are other funny models.  Sierra is intelligent and in order to be sexy you need to be intelligent especially when it is a virtual experience rather than a woman that see in real life.  So what is it about her that has captured my interest so much?

Sierra is complex, at once I feel I know her very well and the next second it feels like I know nothing about her.  I enjoy how open she is but still see her as a vulnerable guarded woman.  Sierra is very sexual and is willing to explore and expand her sexuality, however some of the best days in her room she has not removed a single item of clothing.  Sierra genuinely cares about her members.  She remembers almost everyone who even occasionally comes into her room.  She really wants to know what is going on in her member’s lives.

A good friend of mine always says that you need to give respect to earn respect… Sierra is the personification of that.  She will give all of us second and third chances but expects us to grow as she does.

I have spoken little about the great shows that Sierra provides, of the hard work that she puts into shows and ideas, but these are her strengths. She comments about watching other models when she is not working and members joke about her perving on them.  Sierra like every other professional, she looks to grow in her profession, looks for new ideas, and looks to keep things fresh.  This is why she does what she does.  This is why she asks us what we want next.   This is why she is able to be here for such short sessions.  The energy she expends in her 3 hour sessions far exceeds most models energy in an eight hour session.

These are just a few of the reasons why I am honored to call myself an Owl and support Sierra with tokens, my time when I can, and my honest opinions when she asks.

It never gets boring observing the two categories of haters that I get both online and offline. They all come up with the same reasons why working in this industry is dirty and wrong, but by taking a closer look to their arguments you can’t help but realize how full of shit these people are.

In the first category we have the extremely ignorant individuals. Basically, these people have no clue what this industry is about, they’ve never tried to make some research on their own to find out what it involves, but they believe whatever everyone else is saying about it. All they know about it are rumors or gossips they’ve heard from a neighbor, friend, cousin or uncle (who also happen to be just as clueless). Are you familiar with the saying “heard it through the grapevine”? Well, that is how most people choose to live their lives: based on rumors, strongly impregnated false beliefs and lack of knowledge. I don’t know about you guys, but I live by a rule: If I am not familiar with a topic I make sure to inform myself on it before I open my mouth and discuss it with others. Yes, it does happen to everybody not to be familiar with something but your willingness to educate yourself on that something is what makes the difference.

Like one of my members said today, ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD.

In the second category we have my favorite type of people ever: the beloved hypocrites. They will call you all names you can think of (they have a very rich vocabulary when it comes to insulting but can barely put words together to form an intelligent sentence), they will try their best to convince you that showing your naked body is a proof of lack of self-respect and, among other things, they will surely point out the fact that you are stupid and all you can offer is the hole between your legs.

Please, tell me more about all those things while you’re wanking yourself to death behind a screen. Yes, you guessed it, it is always the people consuming your content that are judging you the most…So sad yet so amusing. The truth is, if you don’t like me and still watch everything that I do, bitch you’re a FAN.

So, dear haters, I am truly flattered that I’m always a trending topic in your life. My life wouldn’t be as thrilling without you.

Congrats. You’re part of the reason why this industry is misunderstood. You’re part of the reason why some men objectify you and to some extent might even hate you.

Why would you take advantage of someone who has potentially fallen  in love with you because of the lies you have been telling and the illusion you have been selling? I know why. One of your main purposes in life is to rip people off, especially men. That is only possible because they believe you are who you say you are. Yes, you sound very convincing when you use your feminine charm and take advantage of the so called  pussy power. You have learned that it is an easy tool you can use to manipulate men in getting what you want. However, there is a very big discrepancy between what you want and what you deserve.

I believe in karma. I believe you reap what you sow. Whatever you do in life eventually comes back to you. Fool them once, jokes on you because you will get it back. But it’s not just about you. It’s also about these people that you are exploiting and whose life you might be ruining by  making them not ever trust women again, neither here or in real life.
You can still pay your bills without doing all that. Those who appreciate you will support you and those who don’t shouldn’t matter. Just wish them well and move on with your life. It costs 0$ to be a decent person. It cost nothing to be a decent model.

If all you care about in this industry is money then you are missing out on the freedom and independence it offers. You’re not actually enjoying yourself, and if you’re not enjoying yourself then why are you doing it to begin with?

I only wrote this post because of a recent documentary I have watched. I had no clue what some models are capable of and how far they are willing to go for some cash. It makes me sick to my stomach that some guys have lost everything for a nothing.

I’d definitely say both models and members have to be careful who they trust in this  industry and should try to avoid situations like this for the sake of one another. Isn’t there enough hatred between genders outside the cyberspace? Do we really have to add to it  and make it worse  instead of using camming as an opportunity to feel empowered and accept our sexuality as it is? And to just enjoy ourselves and have fun because that is what it comes down to…

But yeah, maybe that’s just me. Maybe I live in a fantasy world, a little bubble that doesn’t let me face and accept reality.

I have so many reasons to love it, yet so many to hate it.

I get to be my own boss and make my own rules as I go. I get to have a really good time, laugh, drink, cum and learn. I get to meet such interesting people. I get to be creative and entertain. I receive so much support and good vibes from beautiful souls.

But I also get a lot of hatred. I get to experience frustration, sadness and anger. I get shit and negativity from total strangers. I get judged and misunderstood for things that sometimes are out of my control.

It has taught me a lot about people. It has taught me that people can be kind and loving, honest and pure. But, at the same time, it has taught me they can be horrible, treacherous, fake.

It has helped me discover things I did not know about myself that I really like. Oh, but it has revealed to me the dark side that I didn’t even know I have.

It has changed my life for the better yet it made it so much more complicated.

It has made me feel secure at times yet extremely insecure at others.

I am full of contradictions but man, this industry is a paradox.

I want to thank you all for the feedback on this blog, but most importantly I want to thank you for reading it. I didn’t think anyone would pay much attention to it. I am using this opportunity to ask you for ideas for future posts. The purpose of this blog is to entertain and shed some light on the industry at the same time. I am very happy to write about anything you guys want so please send your ideas into an MFC mail or PM and I will take it into consideration.

Thank you.
