I stared visiting gym for the first time in many years and I have never worked out in the gym on a regular basis, for me it is something new. Basically, I have always been engaged in some kind of creative work (music, drawing). I must say that doing sports on a regular basis is one of my best decisions in a long time. You are not just keeping your body in good shape. In principle, your body needs movement. Working with the body is very important. You understand that you are not just a fish that swims somewhere, but you are a person who works on yourself. When you have some kind of systematic activities, training, your whole life becomes systematic. This is what I noticed thanks to my little personal experience. 
I did not understand how to properly work out in the gym. I thought that you need to go to some exercise machine, make yourself some unrealistically huge weight and work until the end. But in fact, there is a certain system there and if you stick to it, then life will become much better.
I can tell you about the exercise machines that I like. First, I come and literally walk on the running track for 2 minutes. Then I run for 3 minutes and then walk for another minute. I don’t really like doing cardio because I don’t have much fat and on the contrary, I need to gain weight. I want to gain weight, not lose it. On the running track I just warm up. After the warm-up, I do abdominal exercises. I started doing this quite recently, my abs are pretty weak, but I’m working on it) Then I pump up the back of my thighs and butt)
After that, I pump up my back and a little bit my arms, because I can’t do it properly on the exercise machines. I use dumbbells, my arms are still fucking weak, so I can’t do it on the exercise machines. But I’m working on it again. Then I go pump up my legs. It will be either a leg press, which is very good for the thigh and butt. There is another exercise similar to the leg press, only you move yourself away from this platform. I also like a cool exercise machine where you have to bring your legs together and spread them apart. Then I go do stretching exercises so that my muscles don’t hurt after a strength workout. After the workout, I buy myself a protein shake. I drink my 40 grams of protein and go home happy. I want to dance. I literally do that, I walk down the street, dance, I feel great, I smile at passers-by. Love this feeling.
