Fosters do so much more than just give a dog or cat a temporary home! It allows you to literally give a first-hand experience of what life is like with that pet to their future owner and that often mitigates any pets being returned which means shelters and rescues in animal control facilities can have more intake space for more animals in need♥ I personally am a foster “failure” lol, but I am all the better for it ! I intended to foster one of my cats for about five minutes after rescuing him from my ex-girlfriend’s trap house and he’s been my Lil Kiddo Kitten for a few years now :)
