Leela is my beautiful and amazing, 12 year old German Shephard. She is the best dog and my best friend. She has been with me since she was about 10 weeks old and we have gone on so many adventures together. I have always done my best to keep her in the best health to make old age as easy a transition as possible but life had other plans. Old age seemed to hit my poor Leela pretty hard this year when she had an episode and we had to go to the emergency vet. Unfortunately, there was not much they could do for her and recommend that we see a doggy neurologist. It is not easy to get an appointment and the offices are pretty far away from where we live now. Leela is still very healthy and still acts like a puppy. It is very important that I at least have her evaluated by a neurologist to make the best plan for Leela's future no matter how long that might be.
