I recently suffered a tear to my ACL, and due to not having insurance I cannot afford to get it treated properly. Unfortunately, I was also forced to resign from my job due to the fact that I can no longer perform my duties because they cause me too much pain and , ultimately, were making my knee worse by the day. I have already had several office visits with a doctor, and an MRI done without insurance. I was able to pay for most of the office visits before losing my job, but the MRI bill is still over $1,300! I also need more office visits and a visit with an orthopedic surgeon before I can even have the surgery... Not to mention trying to eat and pay my other bills on top of all of this.
