✨🐾 ✨: Goal Description: Protecting our 30 Babies! 🐾🛡️ Our 30 cats are my world, but recently, their safety and my peace of mind have been under constant, relentless threat. Creating an impenetrable, serene environment where they can thrive safely became right now my highest priority. Why this is an emergency: Relentless Stalking & Harassment (The Telenovela Edition): Two hostile women have made my life an absolute nightmare since October of last year. Why? Because some cats in the neighborhood were tragically poisoned last year, and since they never found the culprits, they developed a total obsession and accused me with zero evidence of stealing their cats. They’ve come at the shelter 4 separate times while I was there. They even tracked me down at home twice: once showing up with the police, and another time ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱ on my door at 10:00 PM just to harass me and check if I'm hiding cats. Obviously, they never found anything... but I guess I'm just too irresistible, because yesterday they came ✱✱✱✱ again to spy and take ✱✱✱✱✱✱! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Sabotage & Dangerous Food: People keep tossing scraps and fish ✱✱✱✱✱ over the fence. Even if they didn't mean direct harm, this food baked in the burning sun, the cats ate it, and it caused a severe food poisoning outbreak. We even had to delay vaccinations this year so our 10th little warrior could finish a heavy round of antibiotics! Classic ✱✱✱✱✱✱: I actually caught one neighbor red-✱✱✱✱✱✱ tossing fish over the fence and confronted him nicely, asking him to stop. His genius response? "Well, what am I supposed to do with them, feed them to my ✱✱✱✱? What if they ✱✱✱✱✱?!" I swear, I wanted to launch him into orbit. (FYI-Of course, he was a romanian guy 🙄😅). Signs don't ✱✱✱✱, asking nicely doesn't ✱✱✱✱ people just don't listen. 🤦‍♀️ I even have cameras around the shelter but obviously where is a will is always a way. 🙄 Fire Hazard & Survival: Even though it's totally illegal, neighboring fields are frequently set on fire. What can I say... it's so fun living on the edge! 😅 I’m to rush there at 1:00 or 2:00 AM a few times a month, terrified the flames will reach us, especially in the summer. And as a bonus feature, we get RO-Alerts about bears ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱✱✱ around just 2–3 km away, so riding my bike there in the middle of the night is absolutely fabulous—a true cinematic adventure! 🐻🚴‍♀️✨ The Solution: I am adding another fence at a few metres around the shelter to create an impenetrable safe zone: 1. 100% Privacy & Blockade: Installing heavy-duty, completely opaque screening on a new support structure to block the view 100%. No more stalkers, no more ✱✱✱✱✱✱, no more random fish flying over the fence! 2. Fire Protection: I will line the corridor between the fences with ✱✱✱✱✱✱ fire-retardant mats to create a vital safety ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱ against the field fires. 3. Peace of Mind: This structure stops anyone from seeing inside or messing with the property ever again. How the 160,000 tokens will be split: 40,000 Tokens: General building materials (heavy-duty opaque netting, fixtures, ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱✱, and accessories). 50,000 Tokens: Purchasing the massive scaffolding/pergola structure that will completely cover and reinforce the entire shelter (including delivery and structural adjustments). For example just the skeleton structure alone to cover the shelter costs over 1000 dollars because it's huge!). And of course it was sold out in my city so I need to bring it from the next ✱✱✱ city). 😅 30,000 Tokens: Specialized fire-retardant ✱✱✱✱✱✱ mats to line the perimeter corridor against field fires. 40,000 Tokens: Hiring professional ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱, transport for heavy lifting, complete installation, and safety buffers. From the bottom of my heart: I am doing everything in my power, but ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱ this goal as fast as possible means the world to me.
