Pookie had emergency surgery January 21. He was in pain then brought to the emergency vet. He was sedated right away, then they took x-rays and found he had something blocking his small intestine and it was twice the size it should be. The vet recommended waiting 8 hours to do another x-ray and see if the object moved. It hadn't moved. The X-rays were then sent to a specialist to determine if the object has in fact moved or if it would pass on its own. The results came ✱✱✱✱, it was determined it was a solid object and surgery was needed as soon as possible. He went in for surgery and they found a firm black ✱✱✱✱✱ of unknown material. Pookie spent one more day at the hospital before I was able to bring him home.
