Okay soooo I noticed Titan started limping a year ago, I took him to the vet and they recommended Xrays but I assumed he had just fallen or tripped and declined the xrays, and gave him anti-inflammitories instead. He has continued to limp off and on since then but I've noticed it's gotten progressively worse and more often. Suspecting elbow dysplasia, I took him to the vet and got him Xrays and when the xrays came back, the vet recommended me to an orthopedic surgeon. The surgeon said he isn't sure exactly what kind of elbow dysplasia he has, but that he thinks his coronoid process didn't develop properly and that's whats causing him pain. He recommended doing an arthroscopic surgery to go in, find out whats wrong, and fix it. We are looking at scheduling the surgery for the third week in april, and the recovery time is 6-8 weeks. He wont be allowed to run, jump, or play at all during that time. Fuck. If I don't get the surgery he will continue to have pain for the rest of his life and it will just get worse and worse. He's only 2 years old and I can't imagine watching him in pain for another 11 years. Soooooo. The initial exam cost $298, the specialist exam cost $204.76, and the surgery will cost anywhere from $3,925.98 to $4,316.62 I know this is the biggest goal I've ever had and I will just be grateful for anything you guys can contribute to help me out with this.
