My fur ✱✱✱✱ Oreo escaped my house and we searched my neighbourhood looking for her. Three streets over hiding in an alley we found her and brought her home. She wasn’t her usual cuddly self and she wasn’t ✱✱✱✱✱✱ her treats (this is unheard of!). I was a little worried but I thought she was just shaken from not knowing where she was for 2 hrs. I was petting her and felt something in her fur. I pulled it ✱✱✱✱ and saw this huge gash (it wasn’t that ✱✱✱ but I’m her mama and any injury would have been huge to me) and immediately went to our vet. He gave her so many needles while I held her down. She received a full check up and ✱✱✱✱✱ up with 3 stitches, the cone of shame, a “beautiful” haircut, and about $500 in vet bills that I had no way of planning for since she is not an outdoor cat. She’s home safe now and ✱✱✱✱ to her snuggly treat ✱✱✱✱✱✱ self but I am left wondering if I can afford food or rent this month.
