Siren here!!!! As some of you know I'm a visual artist by day (and ✱✱✱ freak by night lol). Well another fun fact about me: I've always loved music for as long as I can remember. It was and will always be my perfect escape from the world. From a very young age I would listen to music and imagine the artist performing on stage or in music ✱✱✱✱✱✱. One day I stumbled on the term "Concert Design" and fell into the rabbit ✱✱✱✱ that has led to this post haha. Concert designers (also: live experience designers, live show designers and tour designers) create a live show's visual aesthetic, providing a unifying vision for technical elements including lighting, sets, costumes, props, and projections. *Side note: There really is a name for anything you want to do, it's just super fancy and you have to go digging for it* I want to ✱✱✱ on concerts from start to finish. Live music brings so much joy to so many people and I love the idea of contributing to people seeing their favourite artist on stage. Unfortunately there is very little information about how to become a concert designer online. So I've decided to move to the city, find a mentor at one of my favourite music labels and learn everything I need to know. I make connections very easily (it's my ✱✱✱ beautiful black eyes ;)) ), so I know finding someone to learn under won't be ✱✱✱✱ at all!! Living in the city is super expensive tho and I'm dragging my pet Mercy along for the ✱✱✱✱ with me so I made the decision to create this goal. Every tip received will go towards a year of accommodations and expenses for the two of us so that I don't have to worry about that stuff while I study and network and possibly ✱✱✱ on my own show (!!!!!!!! ahhh i'm getting excited just typing this up!!!!!!). No we will not stop camming!!!!!! You guys are stuck with us forever!!!!!!!!! And what a crazy journey that will be! Maybe one day I'll be bringing you ✱✱✱✱✱✱✱✱✱ at a concert near you ;) I know this goal is crazy considering the very little time we have to accomplish it but I believe in us, I believe in you and I believe in this dream!!! GO TEAM!! WOOF!!
