Original goal completed in 22 minutes!!!! Thank you so much!!!! The story: This center is special to me because two summers ago I found an injured fox in the middle of the highway at night. I stopped to find that she was alive, but not doing very well at all. I found a woman who worked for the center online, and she told me I could bring the fox to her home right away. I placed the fragile young fox in the back seat of my car and rushed over. The lady took the fox and I gave her all the cash I had in my wallet to help with the care this poor fox was in desperate need of. The lady said it wasn't looking good, but she would do what she could to save the fox. The next morning, I learned that she was dehydrated and badly bruised (probably got bumped around by a car) but luckily no broken bones. After a day of intense care the fox was starting to show some improvement. She had a tick on her that was causing paralysis, and without help she would have died because of it or due to traffic. After a few more days of care,, the fox was starting to regain strength. The fox stayed at the center where she received immaculate care and plenty of food including live pretty to ensure she would have the strength and skills to thrive in the wild. She even had a boy fox to live and heal with, and within a couple weeks they were both deemed healthy enough to make it on their own. They were released back into nature together into safe and ecologically diverse private property so they could live out their little fox lives together. I was so happy to see footage of their release and grateful to have found that fox that night before it was too late. This story is just one of the many tales of rescue that the wildlife rehabilitation center has every year, and right now they are caring for a larger than normal volume of animals including foxes, raccoons, possums, turtles, you name it, and they need help feeding and providing care for these animals. I have so much respect for this organization, and since I am not qualified to nurse these animals back to health on my own, I want to do my part to help them continue their amazing work and would appreciate your help!!
