Well, it’s time to give up and get a decent pair of hearing aids! According to my last hearing test, I’ve lost about 55% of my hearing in both ears. To be honest I have noticed it be a LOT worse the past few years. Unless I’m in a quiet room facing a person I really struggle to hear them. It’s impacting my social life and my ability to learn French - very important in a French speaking province. I’m going to buy mid-range Phonak hearing aids. They’re not cheap. But with hearing loss as severe as mine, OTC ones won’t ✱✱✱ it. Sadly, the free ones provided by the Quebec gov also don’t ✱✱✱✱ for me. They’re great when I’m out alone in nature, but they make it ✱✱✱✱✱✱ to hear people when I’m out in public. Which is the opposite of what I need. And I need to be able to communicate with people. This will be a huge huge huge life improvement for me and I’m so grateful to everyone who helps me with this ❤️ All mfc share tips go towards this goal
