2023 About Me
~~ UPDATED BIO ~~

I figured it was time to update my ā€œabout meā€ since the last time I wrote one was a few years ago and (hopefully) Iā€™ve grown and changed in that time. Most of it is still relevant, but I thought Iā€™d add some of the newer pieces of myself to this update!

Biggest update is I live in Philadelphia now (a californian shockingly turning into an east coast gal)! I drove across the country in 2021 to live with my best friend while she went to grad school, and when she graduated she moved back to california and I thought Iā€™d stay and see what the east coast was truly all about. Since moving here Iā€™ve attended nearly 100 concerts, visited dozens of museums, driven through many states, and made random connections and communities along the way.

Ever since I moved to Philly I have leaned heavily into my passion for art and Iā€™ve let that express itself as writing frequently, reading as much as I can, taking tons of film photos, and (as always) listening to as much music as humanly possible.

I have no plans for where Iā€™ll end up or what career path Iā€™ll find myself in, but I have learned to enjoy the journey a bit more and I try my best to let things happen the way theyā€™re supposed to instead of fighting them constantly. Maybe Iā€™ll live in PA or CA (or maybe somewhere entirely different), maybe Iā€™ll go to grad school (or Iā€™ll never go back to school), maybe Iā€™ll work in a museum (or Iā€™ll just continue to appreciate them), maybe Iā€™ll finally publish my writing (or Iā€™ll just keep writing in my higharies), or maybe Iā€™ll do this forever (who knows).

Iā€™m very grateful for the life that this work allows me to have, and itā€™s never lost on me the blessing that is being able to pursue hobbies, passions, and friendships without fear. I cannot thank the friends that have continued to show up over the years and supported me enough, I hope you know how highly I think of you and the effort you put forth.
