As you know, in June of 2019 I underwent surgery to remove my entire colon, and was given an end-ileostomy. Health-care in Canada is "free", meaning that the surgery itself and my hospitalization (the better part of a month's time) was free, but my prescriptions and medical supplies all come out of pocket. Since I had to take almost two months off of working, my income has plummeted and I am currently having a difficult time paying for my medical supplies which are between $600-$1000 per month depending on how my needs change. This is obscene, as I need these supplies to live. I am permanently disabled, and without my ostomy supplies I would die. Supplies for my 10 day trip to Toronto were $300, and I still need to spend at least another $100 on additional supplies to get me through the trip (adhesive remover wipes, skin barriers, skin-prep lotions, etc - I cannot live comfortably without these). This tip-option is here not as a suggestion, but as an option for anyone who might want to contribute to supporting me through this difficult time. I am currently applying for something called "Fair Pharmacare Income Adjustment", wherein I prove to the government that I am earning at least 10% less than last year (I am earning 75% less than last year, but it is hard to prove as I am technically self employed). Hopefully I will be approved for income adjustment, and my supplies will be at least partially covered. I am outraged that I even have to do this considering the fact that these supplies probably cost pennies to manufacture! In a perfect world healthcare and prescriptions would be free for everyone. Anyways - thanks for reading my rambling. *****If you make this purchase you'll be added to the Atlas Club($10k+ club) which comes with special perks! ===> https://share.myfreecams.com/m/xsnnvgr0 Or sponsor 2 weeks supplies instead here ===> https://share.myfreecams.com/s/ub8mxuty
