How do you explain to people that going out and meeting people in person is super stressful? Introverts unite (at home)
livibot answered over 2 years ago:
Sigh, lol. I know the struggle.
I am not sure I am the best person to ask this question, but I will give you my best answer.

I am usually very honest and straight-forward with people, and tell them that I get a lot of anxiety when going out and meeting people in person. If they are real friends, they will understand. You can tell them that you'll try  to go, to try to be there, but just be honest with them that it might become too much for you.

However, over the years I have found that setting a plan for myself prior to meeting up with people can help me actually get through it.
This is what I do:

1. Take a big dose of CBD about 30 minutes beforehand and keep the bottle with me. Sometimes I also drink Yogi brand Stress Relief Kava tea AND use CBD and it's quite relaxing without any side effects like feeling high.
2. Give yourself a time to leave by. Even if you need to make up an excuse for why you need to leave at x time, having that SOLID time in the back of your mind, when you know that you'll be alone again and able to recharge, makes the experience more bearable. If you're meeting with someone at 3 to hang out and have coffee, tell yourself that you need to be home by 4:30. That makes the experience seem more finite, concrete, manageable.
3. Have autonomy.  Don't accept a ride lol. If you can help it, don't be dependent on others to leave and go home. That little bit of autonomy always helps me feel more in control over a situation where I feel thoroughly out of control in.
4. Keep something to play with in your pocket (NOT LIKE THAT!). A little rock. A coin, a paperclip. There's a reason why those fidget spinners were so popular. It helps anxiety a lot to have something small like that to keep your hands busy. It makes me feel like I have a little secret, something to myself.
5. Always know that you have the freedom to leave at any time. Again, if it's simply too much, just tell the folks you're with that you have to split. Like I said before, if they are truly your friend, they will understand!
6. PLAN A REWARD FOR YOURSELF FOR AFTERWARD. I do this when I livestream lol. It's always really fun to get online, but it ALSO is very anxiety-inducing beforehand. So, I plan a reward for myself ahead of time. I'll tell myself, if I get online, afterwards I can....watch The Office. or play The Sims for a little bit. or have a hot chocolate. Not only does it give you something to look forward to, but it also again makes the experience seem more finite - it's not going to last forever because you get to do X afterwards.

I am already feeling anxious about being at my sister's house for five days. Even though they are my family and I LOVE them and am super excited to see them...it still gives me a lot of anxiety to know that I won't really have much time by myself. But, I know I'll get through it!

Which monster is your fav in Monsters Inc? What are your top fav Pixar films after that? (fascinated by this)
livibot answered over 2 years ago:
My favorite monster in Monsters Inc is MICHAEL WASOWSKI. He is a cute little pea with a lot of heart. However, I think I might like Monsters University even more than the original movie. And I am allllll about the monsters of Oozma Kappa - namely Don Carlton, Squishy (and Sheri, Squishy's mom lol).

Other favorite Pixar movies:
1. Toy Story 2
2. Coco
3. Encanto
4. Finding Nemo
5. Turning Red (the brand new one is so so good!)

Up is too sad for me!! Can't watch it.

  • The Lego Movie
  • Monsters Inc.
  • Spirited Away

fav childhood toys? and/or any things you wanted as a kid that you got yourself as an adult?
livibot answered over 2 years ago:
My favorite childhood toy was this math game machine that my sister had. I don't even know how to describe it. I'm going to do some research into early 90s math toys because I know I'd recognize if if I saw it. It just had little math games. I don't know why I liked it so much, but it talked and played a song if you got a question right and I liked that.

I was also very into play-dough and play-dough accessories like the pizza making kit lol.

I always wanted a lite brite and a barbie dream house, but both of those must have been too expensive because my parents vehemently said no every time.

What do you tend to listen to when running ?
livibot answered over 2 years ago:
Honestly for my long runs I've been listening to the Morbid podcast during almost every run. It's a true crime podcast that covers some pretty grueling cases, but the two host Alaina and Ash and so charming and very nice to listen to. The podcasts really suck me in and I forget that I'm running until there's a sponsor break lol. Other than that, I like to listen to a lot of early '00s emo rock. I don't know, that punk / emo era really pumps me up to run harder - a lot of My Chemical Romance, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Panic! At the Disco. Or a genre that's just pure fun like Motown.

What''s a food you loved as a kid that you can't stand anymore ? Also, what is a food that you coudn't stand as a kid that you now love ?
livibot answered over 2 years ago:
I used to REALLY love spaghettios. To be honest, I probably would still like them if I tried them now, but the thought of eating them grosses me out. Other things like........gosh when I was really young I enjoyed potted meat like Vienna sausages and potted meat like.........deviled ham (look it up) that absolutely makes me want to vomit. Though honestly, I don't want to knock anyone who currently eats and likes that stuff! Whatever floats your boat, man. I grew up very poor and that was what was available for us and I appreciate my mom working hard to support us.

I could not STAND brussel sprouts. I remember feeling like I wanted to cry if I knew that my mom was making them for dinner, because she wouldn't let me get up from the table until I finished what was on my plate. However, I realized that cooked a different way I really like them! I really love brussel sprouts now if they are baked with some seasonings. My mom would usually just boil them and that's it. 😂

Since your an avid The Sims player, what feature or enhancement you would like the developer to add?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Good question! The Sims developers have really thought about a lot in the game, and even further than that, there are a lot of cheats and mods that you can use if you want to. Here are my ideas:
1. a theme park expansion pack for sims to go visit
2. i wish that sims would learn and develop over time better - They will pick up on some repeated behaviors already - for instance if you make your sim garden a lot, they will eventually choose to garden by their own volition if you stop controlling them for a bit. But I wish that sims behavior and relationship dynamics between sims would change and evolve throughout the game better - though I imagine that's the trickiest part of the game for developers. How do you make your sims more humanlike.
3. Back in the Sims 2, if you didn't lock your doors, burglars might enter your house at night and steal something like a TV. You could also install an alarm system that would go off if a burglar broke in. Police would come and arrest them if they didn't run away first. OR you could wake your sim up, and have them go fight the burglar. LOL. Anyway, they took that out of the game and I kind of miss it, so I wish that would make a comeback!

You are allowed one free punch to the face of anyone on the planet. Who gets one right in the kisser?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Man this is something that I struggle with because morally I don't want to hurt anyone, though I do think that there are some people who could really use a swift kick in the butt. I'm going to go with someone who is still alive. This may seem really random but I've been listening to a lot of true crime podcasts recently and Dennis Rader (the BTK killer) is SUCH A DOUCHEBAG. Beyond the fact that he tortured and killed (at least) ten humans, he's just so....ugh. Did you know that he sent a list of "possible nicknames" to either the local police department  or news station (he was in contact with both of them but I can't remember which one in this instance). He WANTED to be a notorious serial killer with a cool nickname, so he coined a few himself and let people pick. LOL. what an absolute dick. He also called his orgasms "Sparky Big Time." There's something you can't ever remove from your brain. That...that is enough for a punch in the face right there. Dennis Rader gets it.

livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
1. Be talking loudly on his phone
2. Eyeing or checking out any woman in his vicinity*
*this is a tough one because I don't think that there is REALLY anything wrong with noticing an attractive woman. I mean there's not.But there there's men who look a bit too long. And trust me, women notice those things. It makes me feel uncomfortable FOR the women and 0/10 would not engage.

Your Valentine's Day answer is one of my new fav things about you. So amazing/fitting. Was it ever annoying having a bday so close to vday or did it never matter?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Thank you!! 😊 I actually got my valentine from my mom yesterday. She was far from the perfect mother when I was still in her house, but she always always tries to make holidays feel special. I'm sure she sent my sister and my nephews one as well.
I feel like having my birthday so close to vday was more annoying to other people than it was to me LOL. For me it's just a super fun week, but the burden often falls on others you know? Luckily, vday isn't a huge holiday to most people (it's not the same as someone who has a birthday very close to christmas, for instance) so it felt fun rather than super burdensome or annoying.
QuoterMovie asked almost 3 years ago:
What was your best Valentines Day ever?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
I thought about this for a bit and I can't remember a particularly notable valentine's day that I've experienced as an adult. That that I haven't had great boyfriends, but eh? I just don't care very much about it and having really grandiose gestures isn't something that I like. BUT!!! I would LOVE Valentine's Day when I was a kid. I loved absolutely everything about it. My mom always tried to make holidays special for my sister and I, despite not having support from my dad, minimal time and minimal money. We always got a valentine from Mom, a small heart shaped box of chocolate that I inevitably shoveled into my mouth before I even left for school that day (resulting in regret and a stomachache by lunchtime). One year my mom gave me red heart shaped balloons as well - that was really special.

I also LOVED(!!) decorating my valentine's day mailbox or bag at school. I took a lot of pride and enjoyment in making valentines for each of my classmates and adding stickers to each envelope. I always, always tried to get my mom to spring for the valentine's that came with lollipops but she never caved. I think that I loved that day at school so much because there was a lot of crafting and candy involved, and also giving out gifts to everyone in the class - it always made me feel really happy.

Does it ever get old/tiring talking about sex as part of the job? I ask because I guess we put so much thought/emphasis/fear on sex and really it's just another thing but you're in a world where its always discussed
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Luckily for me, I wouldn't say that I DO have to talk about sex very much in my job. I feel very, very fortunate to have people who like to talk about other things with me. Though I do believe that this job has opened my eyes to a hyper-fixation on sex that I didn't realize existed before. I have trouble understanding it. Sex is great and all, but it's just one experience out of an endless array of experiences in this lifetime.

MACARONI AND CHEESE.

Also notable: Indian Red. I remember that being a really beautiful shade.

Do you usually more enjoy going to vegan restaurants that specialize in meals or traditional restaurants with a few vegan alternatives?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
It always feels luxurious to go to a restaurant where I can look at a menu and know that I can order ANYthing I see. I would say I enjoy that more just because it feels like a treat not to be limited to the "vegetarian" or "plant based" little corner of the menu!

Top 3 desserts?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Best question!
1. Some sort of berry pie: blackberry, huckleberry, marionberry being favorites
2. lemon squares / bars
3. carrot cake

I have trouble with overly sweet foods - like ummmmm a standard cake with something thick like buttercream. it's very overwhelming and hurts my teeth! i think that's why I love sweet + tart desserts a lot, and then carrot cake which isn't super sweet either.

Thoughts on cancel culture?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
I had to think about this one for a little while, and I still feel as if it's a slippery slope.
Are we self-censoring? Yeah. Are we making people afraid to speak their minds? Yes.
Not that I have a big enough presence to be canceled in the first place, but I do feel nervous to share views on social media just in case I say something wrong. Or offensive to a group when I'm not meaning to. I think that it's a good thing that people are stopping to THINK before just spilling their brains on the internet.
I think about celebrating Cinco de Mayo online on MFC in 2013 and I cringe at how much I unthinkingly culturally appropriated Mexican culture. There's nothing wrong with having a piñata ya know, but I had some mariachi band cardboard cutouts. And I gave them stereotypical Mexican names and I had ZERO bad intentions about it. I didn't think it was wrong at the time or I wouldn't have done it. BUT, looking back it was a bad look. And if I had done the same thing on MFC in 2021 I think I would have been called out for it as insensitive at LEAST.  I wish I could go back in time and not had a cinco de mayo party, but I can't.
And this is the other side of the coin when it comes to calling people out / cancel culture - people grow. People grow. The 2021 version of me wouldn't have put on the same show as the 2012 version of me. And I also don't think that people should be canceled for past actions* or statements if they are able to acknowledge and apologize for them. I think people can become great examples to others OF acknowledging mistakes and growing.
A lot of rambling to say: I think calling people out for bad behavior or racist remarks, etc is mostly a good thing. I think that cancel culture becomes a bad thing when society refuses to accept apologies, and refuses to accept that people can grow over time.

I messed up the question it should superman vs batman. You answered Spiderman with the superman one..
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
OH! I misread and thought that you had asked the same question twice, and I deleted the spiderman one! Sorry about that!
Batman and Superman I think would be a difficult battle. Gosh. I really think that it would be a toss up. Like say you had five Batman v. Superman battles...I think that Batman would win some and Superman would win some. However, in one final battle to end all battles, I'm going to give the upper hand to Superman. I think. I think that he's smart, he's strong as heck and he has a positive attitude lol.

livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Ya know, I really don't. Lately it seems like I've been collecting lingerie though LOL. I have never been much of a collector, though when I was a pre-teen I was very into collecting Beanie Babies. Very into it. And actually, I would say that up until I moved out of the country I collected books. Especially by the time I finished grad school, I had bookshelves and bookshelves and I loved keeping them all, and flipping back through them. I remember taking them over to my mom's house when I moved to Seoul, boxes and boxes and boxes of books. She kept them for me, but they were all destroyed when a tree fell on her house a few years ago!

What is your ideal date? Going out or staying in? What would you do for the choice you made?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
*grumbles*
The most chill date as possible.
I always enjoy outdoor activities, so going on a hike or going to a park is always on the table for me.
Or going to a museum, going in weird shops and just exploring. Trying street food. Or staying in and binge watching a show or a movie series while stuffing our faces with pizza is also always on the table with me. :P
I guess what I DON'T like is pretentiousness or like over the top dates. I don't need all that in my life! I'd just want someone cool to chill with. I also like there to be a THING to talk about involved. So like, animals at a park, a show we're watching, art or science to talk about at a museum - someTHING so that we are just bound to small talk. Because I really can't handle much of that before I get burned out, you know what I mean?
grifter0x asked almost 3 years ago:
What’s your most treasured possession?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Ted 🐻, cards from my mom, and the rare gift that I have from my dad (he....does not give gifts so anything I get from him is really special. Most recently he gave me a beach towel that he received from the Alumni Association that he didn't want). Also last year my nephews drew a birthday card for me - that's pretty special.
I feel like anything else. Even expensive items, even rare items, they can be replaced, you know? Books can be replaced. My clothes can be replaced, but those items up there just can't be.

Okay so no cheating, here are my answers:
First purchase on Amazon (at least that I have record of):  order placed June 4, 2012
  • Lelo Soraya Vibrator
  • Logitech c910 HD Webcam

This is likely to be accurate - I think that I really started using Amazon when I got home from Seoul/NZ for the first time. When I was writing textbooks and then first started camming. So yeah, that fits :)

Most recent purchase on Amazon:
  • Organic Soil Fertilizer for Indoor Plants 🪴
  • 50 pc pink disposable face masks

again it makes sense 😂

Is there a particular look or outfit that a man wears that makes you instantly take notice ?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
Good question!!
Good question, but tough one to answer. In short, no not really. I am much more attracted to an interesting personality than a particular look. However, I do like someone who looks a little rough and rugged. Tattoos help but aren't necessary. I just like the look of someone who isn't taking themselves all that seriously, but does care about personal hygiene. I guess I just don't like a super manicured looking man because they just seem like a hassle. LOL.
BrighterNites asked almost 3 years ago:
Do you have a particular favourite style of lingerie? Such as styles, fabrics, number of pieces, etc.
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
The first thing that came to mind is that I really like bodysuits. I've been really into mesh-y type materials lately, anything that a little  bit see-through. PLUS it's usually soft and very comfortable. I do not like really lacy things, partially because of the style and partially because the material can feel really scratchy!

I would also say that I am happy with pretty simple sets when it comes to lingerie. Just a bra and panties set is super cute to me. When it becomes a bra, panties, garter, stockings situation, it quickly moves into the uncomfortable category.

Also, because I have disproportional measurements, pretty small on top with wider hips, butt, thighs, anything that's super adjustable is fantastic. Not only is it more comfortable but it looks so much better when you can adjust everything to fit you properly. That's one of the reasons why I love Bordelle pieces. They are...very pricey...but the quality is unsurpassed and every little inch of their pieces are adjustable. Though, you can probably find that sort of customization in any of the really strappy lingerie styles that are popular these days.

What is something that a man does that turns you on, that they probably don't even know they are doing?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
YES!
  • good parallel parking
  • when they are working on something with their hands: making something, playing a guitar or instrument, ummmm even something like gardening or fixing something in the garage. I just really like men's hands
  • when a man waits holds the door for people that they are not trying to impress / hit on, for instance another man (and he is heterosexual), much older people, children, etc.
  • when a man is extremely nice to his pets! I don't know, that's just a big turn on to me.

In general life: I don't know. I don't know how to reply to this one, to be honest. I don't feel like I need to feel special in my general life. Ummmmm. (thinking) I guess I feel special when I get to be around my nephews. When they tell my sister to send me a photo or a video of them doing something cool that they feel proud about. I feel incredibly special to be important to them.

Which place that you have already been would you like to visit if you could go tomorrow?

I have had the good fortune to see so many beautiful places. And as I'm sitting here only two are really coming to mind that would love to just *pop* and transport there right this second: Montana, specifically the north western part of the state - around the black feet indian reservation / Glacier NP area. Wow, wow, wowzers. Open. Majestic. The crispest air and hardly any people. Second pick would be to up and plop down on the northern coast of Kauai. Again, it's wild, rugged and utterly breathtaking.

Do you prefer penetration or clitoral stimulation for an orgasm?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
This is such an interesting question because my first instinct is to say clitoral stimulation. It's easy, it's never fail, and it's generally speaking pretty overwhelming feeling. But then it's like, so what about penetration? Is that just no good? But it IS good. It feels REALLY good to be filled up by something. And I guess that it's very much worth it to have things that feel good even if they aren't a surefire way to an orgasm. Sex can feel amazing even without an orgasm, and maybe that's a difference between sex for men and women. However, I feel like a combination of both. Some sort of penetration plus some sort of clitoral stimulation (even if it's just simple rubbing) is 10/10 the way to go.

What is your favorite sex position?
livibot answered almost 3 years ago:
My favorite sex position is laying on my side, with my legs bent, but sort of scissored. The other person would be kneeling above me and kind of between my legs. I need to find a picture of this because I feel like it's hard to explain!
