Sjögren's syndrome is an immune system disorder that is identified by its two most frequent symptoms: dry eyes and mouth.
This condition often accompanies other immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Sjögren's syndrome usually affects the mucous membranes and moisture-producing glands in the eyes and mouth first, resulting in fewer tears and saliva.
Although Sjögren's syndrome can be experienced at any age, most people are over the age of 40 at the time of diagnosis. The disorder is much more common in women. Treatment focuses on relieving symptoms.
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purple: low levels of blood cells that avoid bleeding (platelets).
The PTI occurs when the immune system attacks platelets error. In young children, it can appear after a viral infection. In adults, it can be chronic.
The symptoms include appearance of bruises with ease, bleeding and reddish and dwelling spots of the size of a point in the lower legs.
