Our local foster care have called us to action. Apparently, there's a major shortage of luggage for their foster children, and these kids are forced to put all their belongings in trash bags. A worker posted about it on social media, begging people to donate anything they could. Then the news picked up on it. It shouldn't be hard to find luggage and duffel bags for cheaper than brand new. I've made it my personal goal to donate 30. This story is so sad, and yet totally believable. We have to help our youth feel loved so they can love themselves.
