Yuki Onna is a popular mythical being in Japanese folklore. With the coming of the colder months, one may find a visit from Yuki Onna on a blizzard night. She is a dangerous being, sometimes depicted as a demon, but every time she is shown as lonely, craving a warmth she cannot have. β "In legends from the Ojiya region of Niigata Prefecture, a beautiful woman came to visit a man and became his wife from the woman's own desire. This woman was reluctant to go into the bath and when she was made to go in anyway, she disappeared, leaving only thin, fragmented, floating icicles..." "Some legends say the Yuki-onna, being associated with winter and snowstorms, is the spirit of someone who perished in the snow. She is at the same time beautiful and serene, yet ruthless in killing unsuspecting mortals. Until the 18th century, she was almost uniformly portrayed as evil. Today, however, stories often color her as more human, emphasizing her ghost-like nature and ephemeral beauty..." β Such as the weather in winter, she can be light and beautiful; other days, harsh and unrelenting...
In this video, you stumble a lonely girl upon one snowy night, laced in white, craving warmth, a touch she can't find anywhere else. You know it is dangerous to trust a stranger during a cold night, but can you resist? If you don't she must use a glass toy that only reminds her of her frigid body temperature... a warm touch is precarious: one may melt; the other turned to ice... but do we dare for a night? I have a desire, just to be warm.....
