A couple of fun facts about Malaysia and Langkawi islandĀ
Langkawi is an archipelago made up of 99 small islands on Malaysia's west coast. I was lucky enough to see it from bird's eye view, its a fascinating sight for sureĀ
Although Langkawi is full of picturesque beaches, you will have to pass through a dense corridor of jungles if you are to find some private 'bays'. The area on those is usually absolutely secluded and peaceful.
Langkawi is a paradise not only for people but also for bids and wildlife, houses over 2500 exotic birds, including reddish - brown eagle, which is basically a symbol of the island. According to folklore Langkawi's name came from two Malay words 'helang' which means eagle and 'kawi' which is translated as reddish -brown. hence the name ^_^
In spite of the fact that there are loads of beaches, you can not swim everywhere , mean jelly fish are watching over you , ready to sting you any time , and any places. Trust me , I checked...Ā Was pretty ouchie experience ...
