You need:

Bread loaf, cut into 2 flat halves
Mayonaise (don't dare say Miracle Whip. This isn't sweet tangy bread.)
Margarine (or butter, but you use quite a bit and it's harder to mix up and is less salty.)
Garlic powder
Basil
Oregano
Grated parmesan cheese

And oven with a broiler.
