I recently went on a Cixin Liu binge and "read" the Three Body Trilogy as well as Ball Lightning.

One of my favorite emotional/self help authors is Harriet Lerner. Some of her books are a bit dated but all her "Dance of...." books are great. I think the Dance of Connection was my favorite but each book kind of blends in or has similar themes as others so I'm not sure if that was the one, but I enjoyed all I listened to her from her.

My favorite memoir ever was Just Kids by Patti Smith. I really like most books about people growing up in the 60s and 70s. Such a different time and such prolific music and art. Just Kids was so gritty and really got to me, as well as being beautifully written. She overcame so much and it shows how resilient one's soul can be as well as the drive and grit of artists. Her story had me reflecting on my own journey so far.

Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss was a great book about how to negotiate. It really highlighted how important it is to keep your emotions in check when in a stressful situation, and how best to approach a business deal or a tough conversation where you have a desired outcome in mind. It really inspired me to go after what I want and feel better prepared for broaching challenging topics with others. I should probably read this one again.

I also really enjoyed the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy by Kevin Kwan. So entertaining !!! Probably the books I have laughed the most at. I could probably talk along with the audiobooks, I have listened to it a lot. The books helped to put me at ease or in a good mood.

If by partner you mean ,do  I care if someone is fit during a hookup or something like that, I guess it would depend on my reasoning for wanting a hookup. I certainly wouldn't be mad if someone took off their clothes and they were really fit, but if I was looking for a hookup just to have human connection maybe I wouldn't think twice if they weren't that fit.

Where's the "common sense" though 😂 what is the point of this question?
